Losing someone you love is one of the hardest things to deal with in this life. Everything in life sort of numbs out, and you feel as though you're walking within a life that so recently felt like home.

It's these times were life feels the most real. As if all of the button pushing, driving, agonizing stops and you realize what is important.

If only we could hold on to that beautiful feeling without the loss.

Contempt does nothing but breed contempt, while happiness does nothing but breed hapiness.

Controlling our natural tendencies towards anger and resentment is difficult.

But it doesn't have to be this way. We don't have to run around on our tredmill waiting for the death of someone we love to remind us of what life really is.
